The School of Pharmacy graduated 108 pharmacists May 19th. VPhA Executive Director, Becky Snead P’85, addressed the new graduates with an inspiring convocation address.

Becky Snead received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy on the MCV campus of VCU in 1985. Currently she serves as the Executive Director of the Virginia Pharmacists Association, where she began her career as the Director of Professional Affairs in July 1994. In addition, she assumed the role of Executive Vice President for the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations. She has served as a preceptor for the VCU School of Pharmacy since 1988.

Ms. Snead has received numerous awards for her professional accomplishments including the 2003 MCV Alumni Association Pharmacy Division Service Award, 2002 Wyeth/Robert Irby Volunteerism Award for the Arthritis Foundation-Virginia Chapter, 2000 VCU Alumni Star for Pharmacy, 2000 Arthritis Foundation- Virginia Chapter Hero for Hope and the 1993 Marion Merrell Dow Distinguished Young Pharmacists Award.
