“Werner was a man with an ingenious visual sense and he engaged fully in a variety of subjects; however, it seems that he had found the central theme to his photographic quest, as represented in this book. … [Werner] was dedicated to finalizing his images in ways one cannot explain except by looking at the final resolution and accepting this as his artistic statement.”
George D. Nan, professor emeritus and retired chairman, VCU Department of Photography

Hilda Meth is proud to introduce “Earth Sculptures,” a coffee-table book of award-winning photographs taken by her late husband, School of Pharmacy emeritus faculty member Werner Lowenthal.

She compiled this collection as a celebration of his passion and talent. The book, produced by Dementi Milestone Publishing, made its debut during the School of Pharmacy’s 2009 Reunion Weekend.

All proceeds from sales of the book ($35 each) will benefit School of Pharmacy students through the Werner Lowenthal Endowment Fund. For details about the fund, click here.
